(b) The terms of the 153rd District Court begin on the first Mondays in February, May, August, and November. (b) The 485th District Court shall give preference to criminal matters. (a) After the effective date of a reapportionment order, the judicial districts affected by the order contain only the counties designated for the judicial districts in the reapportionment order, and the district courts shall have and exercise jurisdiction coextensive with the newly defined limits of the judicial districts in all actions, proceedings, matters, and causes of which district courts have jurisdiction under the constitution and laws of the state.
